I am Dr. Allan Salzberg MD PhD and I believe that our great country is in need of help. My career of service as a Defense Analyst in the United States Airforce and Navy as well as my time as a Physician and Chief of Staff of a VA Hospital has prepared me to address the growing issues of energy, defense, unsustainable government spending and healthcare in America. I am running for Congress District 1 because I believe I can make a difference!

Defense

A strong, technically advanced defense system is absolutely critical for America. We should not be supporting spending cuts to our National Defense. America needs to continue to invest in research and technology that can keep our great nation safe.

Energy

"Civilization is Energy without it our civilization ends. It is that stark; it is that final. America needs clean affordable Sustainable Energy Independence. Our future depends on new technological Gen 3+ and later Gen 4 Nuclear Reactors with reprocessing. Our hydrocarbon resourses- ANWR, Off Shore and Shale oil and Natural gas will be needed in the transition period, as will conservation. Wind and Solar cannot do the job though they do have niches Details are found in "Energy Futures :Civilization in Balance" under Documents.

Healthcare

The current administration’s healthcare reform is not the answer! America needs a restructuring of private medical insurance, government funded medicine, and affordable answers for small business.
